The traditional Karelian sauna ritual begins in the purpose-built Vihta ritual sauna. While the infusion master explains everything you need to know in a relaxed atmosphere, your palate is spoilt with a delicious sweat accelerator - the perfect prelude to what is to come.

The first infusion then starts with aromatic birch broth. During the so-called "sweating", the hot, fresh birch-scented air is distributed throughout the room by waving weniks (birch branches). Your skin is gently fanned and moisturised - a soothing experience. Afterwards, head out into the fresh air and take a shower to cool down.

Afterwards, a hot tea from the samovar awaits you in the Vihta bistro - here you can recharge your batteries before moving on to the next part of the ritual.

Now the actual Vihta ritual part begins: your body is gently exfoliated with the birch branches. The pores open, the skin is cleansed and the circulation is stimulated - a feeling of depth, warmth and lightness. The natural active ingredients of birch have an anti-inflammatory effect and provide inner balance.

The crowning finale is to return to the sauna together to "sweat off". Afterwards, the ritual comes to a relaxed end with a strong sip of black beer and typical specialities - the perfect moment to reflect and simply enjoy.
