The lucky anniversary guest, Boris Wald from Au am Rhein, was surprised at the Europabad together with his family and welcomed in person by Managing Director Oliver Sternagel and the mascot KAi – the Shark. As a memento of this special day, the family of four, including two daughters, received a BadePass Plus, a ‘KAi – the Shark’ package with a bouquet of flowers and a certificate. The family was also invited to enjoy a relaxing day at the Europabad, including access to the sunbathing area. For the family, the honour was doubly special, as daughter Lia was celebrating her 8th birthday at Europabad that day and was thus treated to a very special birthday surprise.
“Eight million visitors is an extraordinary milestone for us and, at the same time, a sign of the Europabad’s great appeal far beyond the Karlsruhe region,” says Managing Director Oliver Sternagel. “We would like to thank all our guests for their long-standing loyalty and trust.”
Since opening in 2008, the Europabad Karlsruhe has become one of the region’s most popular leisure and recreation facilities. With its slides, attractions, exciting water world and spacious sauna area, it delights hundreds of thousands of visitors year after year.
The milestone of the 8-millionth visitor underlines the successful development of the Europabad and the great importance of the pool as a leisure and recreation destination for families, children, young people and adults.
