What can I pay for in the pools with the BadePass?

• Entrance to all pools in Karlsruhe (exception: Grötzingen indoor pool)

• Bathing equipment in the Fächerbad and the Therme Vierordtbad

Which tariff is charged?
The regular adult rate is discounted for single entries with the BadePass. A discount on other single entries (concessions, Karlsruher Pass, etc.) is not possible.

How much is the deposit for the BadePass Medium (card / wristband)?
The deposit for the BadePass Medium costs €10. If you no longer wish to use your BadePass, you can return it to the cash desk and get the deposit back. Your medium can then be reissued.

Can credit be topped up on site at the cash desk?
Yes, this is possible at the cash desk in the following pools: Europabad, Therme Vierordtbad, Fächerbad, Sonnenbad, Turmbergbad, Rheinstrandbad Rappenwört, Freibad Rüppurr, Adolf-Ehrmann-Bad and Weiherhofbad. You can also top up your credit online to save time.

How long is the BadePass/the top-up amount valid for?
The BadePass is like a prepaid card. The topped-up credit is valid indefinitely until it is used up.

How is the entrance fee charged when I enter or leave the pool?
Only applies to the BadePass Plus and Premium: You can use your wristband to enter and leave all pools in Karlsruhe. In the Europabad, Fächerbad and the Therme Vierordtbad, you can use your wristband to lock your locker and book food / drinks / treatments. Payment / debiting takes place automatically when you leave the pool at the turnstile. You don't have to go to the cash desk.

Why do I need the web shop and the QR code?
This is an additional offer, it is not required. You can top up your credit online with a user account in the webshop, for example. For example, you can top up / view your credit or maintain your master data. You can use the QR code to visit our outdoor pools, for example, without having to take the wristband with you.

Does the QR code on the smartphone replace the BadePass?
You will receive a card for the BadePass Basis and a chip wristband for the BadePass Plus and BadePass Premium. You will need the chip wristband to use the quick access in the Europabad Karlsruhe, in the Therme Vierordtbad and in the Fächerbad Karlsruhe, to lock the lockers and to pay for drinks / food. The QR code does not replace the BadePass in the form of a card. For example, you can use the QR code to visit our outdoor pools without having to take your wristband with you.

What is quick access?
You can enter the pools directly by holding the BadePass to the respective reader at the turnstile. The discounted admission price is then automatically deducted from your credit. Fast-track access is only possible as long as the capacity of the respective pool is not exhausted and there is still sufficient credit available.

What is the BadePass Premium wristband all about? What advantages does it offer? Is the wristband mandatory for entry / fast track access? Is the wristband provided directly upon exchange?
The Premium wristband is a black silicone wristband with a buckle and the Karlsruhe public baths logo printed on it. You use the wristband to enter and leave the pool (fast track access), lock the locker and pay for food/drink/SPA treatments (Europabad, Fächerbad and Therme Vierordtbad).

Can I also take advantage of the BadePass Premium discount campaign without a user account in the web shop?
Yes, you can also use the benefits without an online account / email. All current information can be found on the website.

Is there an overview of the monthly discount campaigns for the BadePass Premium?
BadePass Premium customers receive monthly changing benefits in the form of discount promotions (e.g. discounts in the catering trade). We will inform you about these on this page, by newsletter or on site at the pools. An e-mail address is not mandatory.

You can purchase the BadePass at Europabad Karlsruhe, Fächerbad Karlsruhe and Therme Vierordtbad. It is also possible to purchase the BadePass online (in the form of a voucher) via our webshop. The voucher must be exchanged for the medium at the cash desks in the Europabad, Fächerbad or Therme Vierordtbad for a €10 deposit.

You can view the current remaining value of your BadePass and top up new credit via our webshop. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Create an account in our webshop.
2. Once you are logged in, click on the My profile icon in the top right-hand corner.
3. Switch to the "Card management" tab.
4. Click on "Register customer card".
5. Enter the card number of your BadePass. This can be found on every receipt and begins with a small s (e.g. s0000000000423B2R). BadePass Basis holders can alternatively enter the shorter number printed on the plastic card.
6. Click on "Validate".
7. Enter your first name and surname as you entered them when creating the BadePass. If you have entered a title (e.g. Dr), do not enter this. The BadePass can only be linked if the full name matches the card number.
8. Confirm by clicking on "Save and add card".
9. You will now see the remaining value of your BadePass in the "Card management" tab and can top it up again. To top up, click on "Top up credit".

In your logged-in profile in the webshop under "Card management" / "Actions" / "Details" you can see the sales you have made with the BadePass (since December 2024).
